Quickload light for caliber?

Has anyone used quickload with light for caliber loads?

I am looking to shoot 285 grain moly coated bullets in a 458 Lott.
Most loadings don't go below 350 grains.
I would prefer to keep pressure under 50,000 PSI ( not CUP ) with 100% case fill +- 5%

23.5 inch barrel
108 grains of water

Thanks for any replies.

edge.

Re: Quickload light for caliber?

The bullet is custom and will be in the case 0.200

The powder is the real question. I would prefer a Hodgdon since they are carried locally.

I am thinking that H322 will be around the fastest powder but not sure how much would get to my pressure.
I do have IMR3031
I can get Benchmark or H335
and I also have H4895

What I am not real sure about is whether Quickload works well for very light ( low SD ) bullets.

Re: Quickload light for caliber?

gbp, thank you very much for that data. I do have some Barnes for my 45-70 that I can experiment with to see how close the velocities come to your listed powders.

If they come close, I guess that I will get a copy of Quickload for myself.

Thanks again

edge.
