Question on 1 in 9 twist in .223

The question is will my 1 in 9 twist stabilize the 70 grain bergers in my .223? I have a new SPS tactical .223 and it has the fast twist barrel, I know it will stablilize up to 69 grain bullets but I was wondering if the 70 grain berger might be too long? I haven't shot the rifle yet so I haven't been able to work up any loads yet.

Another question is I was wondering what kind of reasonable stock could I replace the flimsy houge with? I was thinking about contacting remington to see if i could purchase from them the compact tactical stock, made by B&C. I want to keep the rifle relatively light weight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Choate stock is skeletonized and would maintain the "tactical look" its also an accurate accesory stock.
