putting a new tube on my 264 win mag suggestions?

its time for a new barrel on my 264 sendero. I want to shoot the 140 vlds and 140 smk. i was leaning on getting a 30 in lilja with a 1-9 twist. does anybody have any suggestions or is this a good set up? thanks

I like the Lilja barrels maybe not 30 inches though. Probalaby 28 inches.

I would go 1-8 twist and keep the barrel 28" or less. I love long barrels but Im not sure 30" is needed in this application.

i just figured a 1-9 twist would shoot the 140s better is all. my stoc barrel shot the 130s good but it wouldnt shoot the 140s worth a darn

Sounds like a nice set up. Any changes would be personal preference. I would prefer the 28" barrel and a little more twist, but there isn't anything wrong with what you've got.

Re: putting a new tube on my 264 win mag suggestions?

i feel sorta dumb now! for some reason i was thining my stoc barrel was a 1-10 twist but it is a 1-9 so it would mae since to go to a 1-8 for the heavier bullet wouldnt it? i really wanted to get irby to turn it into a 6.5 allen mag but the funds are a little tight these days so i figured id leave it the same and then not have to worry about having all these empty 264 brass and dies sitting around for no reason
