Powder recomendations 200gr. Accubond 300WM??

I posted this at accurate reloading thought I would try longrangehuntng as well . Anybody have any powder recomendations for the 200gr. Accubond 300WM. I have a Sako Hunter 75 SS on the way and would like to break her in with 200gr. Accubonds. Anybody have any powder recomendations for an accuracy load? How many fps do you get with your load? Thanks for any comments or info!

We shot that bullet from 100 out to 1000 last fall, it dropped exactly with the 200 grain Match King and stayed with it for accuracy also in the particular rifle being tested.

Here are the drops for the 200 Accubond from that new Savage heavy barrel, the laminated model with Accutrigger. The load was a near max charge of H-1000, you could easily work it up for your rifle using Hodgdon data.

ZEROS
200 zero +1.00
300 zero +3.00
400 zero +5.75
500 zero +8.25
600 zero +10.50
700 zero +13.00
800 zero +16.25
900 zero +19.00
1000 zero +22.00
Believe the fellow was using Win. brass and primers.
Good luck.

I don't own a chrono yet so I was hoping to get some fps info @ so many gr. of powder as well so I can figure out my bullet drop at different ranges. Any info greatly appreciated, I was hoping to load to 2850 - 2900 fps.

Re: Powder recomendations 200gr. Accubond 300WM??

I have shot the 200 Accubond in my 300 Win Mag using up to 79 grains of H1000. That is a hot load (3030 fps) so start low and work up. I have also tried up to 82 grains of Ramshot Magnum for the same velocity, but again it is max (probably both are over max) in my rifle. No blown primers, no ejector blade marks on the case head but they are definately hot. Rufous.

Re: Powder recomendations 200gr. Accubond 300WM??

I've had good luck with 66 gr. H4350, fed 210m, win brass, COL 3.425". 2890 fps out of 24" Winchester M70. Not a max load in my rifle but best accuracy. Friend shot a 5 X 6 bull last fall at 431 yards with this load. No complaints!!
