please disreguard, question answered

I have a 35 Rem that I absolutely love. Great for the short range work in a Marlin 336 lever action. But, I was thinking about necking up a .308 Win to .358 to get a little more zip. I am assuming it would do close to the same velocities with the same weight bullet in .358 as a 338 Fed.
Yes I know, there are plenty of .338 bullets out there that are great and why not just use a .338 Fed. To be different, thats why. By my estimation, I should be able to order a custom reamer made to my specs and just bore out a 35 Rem chamber to match. Or, find a 35 Whelen and cut, rethread and rechamber.
Any thoughts?

Re: Has anyone wildcatted a 308 up to .358?

You might want to look up the 358 Winchester.

The .308 Win. at left spawned (left to right) the .358 Win., .243 Win., .260 Rem. and 7mm-08 Rem.

Yeah, I just came back to delete my thread. I just found the 358 Win.

But, can anyone who HAS ACTUALLY OWNED/SHOT ONE, tell me more about this caliber? The good and the bad.
