Preloading is putting some pressure on the bipod to firm up the rest making your sight picture more stable. Read the article, its all there.

    But,it couldn't have been the shooter, it must have been the gunsmith...just kidding [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
    more like a combo of both.

    What kind of bi-pod do you use? The swivel type or non swivel? Did you use a rear bag?

    Geesh! Those are some sick groups [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]. A newbie just doesn't wake up one day and decide to shoot groups like that, it takes years of experience, an awesome stick and a knowledgeable "Smith" to build it.
