Picture test.....my .270 (hopefully)

here is a pic of my .270 Win I just finished. Rem 700 ADL, 22" barrel, older birch stock that I bedded and painted, Leupold bases-Burris Sig. rings, and a Burris FFII 3-9 Ballistic Plex. I also replace the plastic trigger guard with a steel one.

Hope you don't mind. I copied and put the photo in my album on photobucket.com

Get registered for the free service, and I think you should be set. Try again when you get the pic uploaded. Need some help, let me know.

Re: Picture test.....my .270 (hopefully)

I sanded off the old finish. Applied some Krylon gray primer, then used the camo paints from Krylon for the color. I put on a couple coats of the OD green as a base, then get an old tooth brush (or someone elses if your mad at them ) Holding the tooth brush over a trash can I load up the brush by hosing it with the tan paint. Then I just kind of "flick" the brush at it by holding the handle with one hand and pulling back the bristled end and snapping it at the stock. It takes a little getting used to, and I practiced my pattern on a piece of card board. Then I do the same with black-load the brush and flick away. I finish with a coat of Krylon Matte finish to protect it. I think it looks kind of cool. It was cheap and gives it kind of a camo look with out being camo if you know what I mean. Take care-Duff
