no chrono

ok Im fairly new to this
is there a way I can figure my approx velocity with out a chronograph
Im shooting a 7mm rem mag with a 160 accubond over 62 gr of RL22 winchester mag primers and case

Some of the load programs that members are using can apparently get it pretty close. Do you use Exbal? If so, you can test your drops at various ranges and validate the trajectory. This will adjust your velocity.

The way most do it is to shoot at 100yards,200yards,300yards,400yards and 500yards
using the same point of aim and then compare the drop to ballistic chart for that brand
and weight of bullet.

And if you can check it at longer distance it will help to get a more true velocity.

It is not as good as a chronagraph but it will get you close.
