yes the extra rubber under strap on top of barrel works nice.

The warranty is now updated on our website but here it is:

2-year Manufacturer Warranty: If the device arrives damaged or becomes inoperable within a 2 year time period due to manufactures defect, just ship the unit back to us (Magnetospeed) and we will fix the issue or replace the unit at no cost. The buyer will not be charged any additional shipping costs other than that initial purchase if exchanging/returning a device with manufacturer defects within 2 years of purchase date. If returned device is damaged due to user error, no refund or additional shipping costs will be covered.

We just recieved another order of the V2 chronographs in and they are going quick. Don't forget to ask about the special pricing for LRH members as well.

Re: *new* magnetospeed v2 chronographs

Got out to the range to take the Magneto for its first test drive.

All I can say is that I flat out enjoy using it.

It did not seem to change POI so for me. I was shooting my 223 Remington with heavy barrel with known worked up load.

Chrony was accurate to data I had previously and groups remained same MOA.

I really like that I can set it up at the bench without impacting the other shooters.

And the backlit screen is very nice.

And using the SDMicro card to save the archived data and load to my laptop is a great feature.

The data allows me to save in excel file for record keeping.

I am very happy with this but it was only one trip to the range.

If it remains robust over time, it will be money well spent.
