Re: New .260

FWIW, YMMV, IMHO and all that jazz...

My 260 prefers H4831sc if I can stuff enough in the case for the 139-142 weight class. With lapua brass that doesn't always happen with my chamber specs. Reformed Winchester 7mm-08 brass usually works better for internal case volume... because of that H4350 has become my goto powder for most of my loads. But I am far from done playing yet

Re: New .260

H4350 has worked really well for me as well so I havent felt the need to change powders. The 130vlds, 140SMK, and the 140 Hybrids shoot great out of my rig.

Re: New .260

She shoots

3 shots 1000y ~6Ē

This was with 140 A-max Lapua brass and H4350, right around 44g which runs ~2830 from my rifle.

At 100y this load and rifle are out shooting me and I have shot groups in the .3ís but typically I will see that one hole group growing and blow the group on my 4th or 5th shot and open it up to a half inch or better... Thatís one reason I stopped shooting groups at 100y other than load work ups, LOL.

In 7mm-08 brass 43.5g works well and gives me a 2763 average, I can push this to the next node at ~44.5g which puts me around 2850 but I donít need the speed and would rather save my barrel and brass running at the lower node.
