Mixing solvents??

I have been told,.and read numerous articles stating that solvents should not be mixed. I accept the experts advice,..but I would like to know if there is a chart or even anyone having experience who can tell just which ones can not or should not be mixed.

Obviously there are many that are so different in their base composition,..that mixing or running one behind an application of another would be a non-issue,..but which ones will get you in trouble?

I assume that neutralizing a cleaner with Kroil between the application of another brand would be the correct approach?
You try to get closer to the target,..and I keep trying to get further away.
