Lothar Walther Barrels

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these and how they worked out? Are they forged or button rifled?

Re: Lothar Walther Barrels

I just got my 300 Win Mag back with one of these barrels. It cleans very easily and is more accurate than I am. It is a 9.5# rifle with sporter type big game stock. Recoil is significant. I have shot some 0.5" groups but I think the larger groups have to do with me and how the rifle is recoiling. I have a 6mm Walther barrel on order to be chambered to 243 Win for a long range varmint rifle. They are button rifled. They are surprisingly inexpensive ($200 for SS). So far I like this barrel, Rufous.
