Hey guys, I finally (after three years) finished my first full custom rifle build! Started with a bone-stock M700, and turned it into this. Did all the work myself including installing/headspacing the barrel, fitting the action into the chassis (more work than it should have been), filing, lapping, blah blah blah... not too bad for an 18 year old whippersnapper...
Action- Remington 700 SPS, hand lapped, polished. Bolt handle is a KRG
Barrel- 26 inch McGowen stainless 1-10" #8 contour, short-chambered to .300 Winchester Magnum.
Stock- XLR Industries Evolution with ambidextrous cheekrest, 14 inch handguard, palm shelf grip, Accuracy International five round magazine, and picatinny rails/monopod mount (not shown).
Scope- Vortex Optics Viper 6.5-20X44 Mil-dot in Leupold PRW rings. Soon to be replaced by Vortex Optics 6-24X50 Viper PST EBR-1 MOA FFP
Now some gun porn!

Reason: Somehow, I forgot to mention the caliber...
What caliber? Looks good! I like that XLR chassis.
It's a .300 Winchester Magnum. And the XLR is soooooooo nice. Here in Canada, you can get one for around the same price as an AICS, and it's more adjustable, lighter weight, offers more options for rails and accesories, AND looks cooler.
