Interrupted fluting... Your thoughts

Is there any reason that you like or dislike interrupted fluting other than personal preference? Is the only way to get it is through Brux?

Good to know Mike. A gunsmith told me Brux was the only way but I thought that seemed odd.

The guys at Brux told me that, in theory, the interrupted fluting would be a little stiffer than straight fluting. In practice, probably little to no difference. I got the interrupted fluting because I knew I wanted fluting, I thought it looked pretty cool and the theoretical advantage over straight fluting couldn't hurt.

    FWIW, it shoots fine too...

A few months ago I ordered a new fluted barrel from Krieger. They told me they could do interrupted fluting. I didn't get it because I don't like it.

I'm torn, I've seen some rifle styles and colors that the interrupted fluting looks great on but also seen some that just don't look right, to much going on or something. I like the mean deep flutes
