How much torque?

I will be installing my Jewel trigger soon in my custom 260 with HS fiberglass stock and Remington action that is skim bedded. Not sure if any of that matters but I thought I would share.
The smith who built the gun (I believe...) set the 2 screws to 40 ozs each screw?

I have also heard that the one screw should be set with more torque than the other?

What is do you all think?
