Re: Highest BC bullet for a 30-378??

I've loaded the 230 Bergers for an Accumark 30-378 with good results and still able to feed them in the magazine. This is where I would start.

That should be fun!

Yes, they are seated with bullet into the shoulder area, but it was not a problem as the 30-378 always had more case volume than I could ever use.

That 30-338 LMI will be a screamer. I bet you get better velocity than you could with a 30-378.

One of the guys that took my shooting class last spring had a 30-338 LM from MCR. The rifle was very impressive at 1800 yards with 230 Bergers.

And what was he using on the 1800 yard shot wit the Berger 230's 1-9 or 1-10. I need some good advice on whether to keep the barrel twist a 1-10 or call GAPrecision while I can and change my order to the 1-9?? Any help?

So, I think feel they are a very good fit in the 30-378. We have shot them in both the 300 win and 30-378 with awesome results, all 1 in 10 twists. The 30-378 with a 230 Berger is a long range hammer and they will expand too.

I am pretty sure the 30-338 Lapua was a 1in 10, I know the Accumarks were.
