heavy 6mm and .257 bullets

I have seen some posts about some .257 bullets in the 130 and 142 range as well as some 6mm bullets in the 120 range. Can anyone tell me who to contact or if they may be still available? Am interested but have no returns from the contacts that were posted in some of the posts from a year or so back.

Thanks,

James

Re: heavy 6mm and .257 bullets

I've never heard of a 257 over 120grains. On the 6mm side, the DTAC is 115grains & Matrix makes a 117, that is the heaviest I have ever seen.

Doing a little searching I found Custom Rifle Bullets Built for Accuracy | Matrix Ballistics.

.243 120GR RBT 6S
.257 125GR RBT 10S

Maybe heavier out there, but haven't found them.

Thanks for the info. Will be on the look out for more. In the mean time I may try these out for starters.

I knew about the RBT's, I didn't post those as the BC #'s suck. The VLD's on the other hand are impressive albeit static #'s.

BNG, what are we watching out for?

Outlaw 6.0,

I have no doubt that you did. You are correct about the BC's not being the best on those also.
