Hey buddy,

I think I know what you mean by "chinching your stock to your barrel" but could you post a pic so we can see and verify what your describing? I think that would go a long way toward helping usx understand and maybe giving you some suggestions and sharing our collective experience.

It's often stated that "There are no stupid questions" however......I haven't found that to be the absolute truth on many of these forums!!

You really need to get the bipod set up so that you are only attaching it to the stock so that you do not put any pressure on the barrel. I've seen a couple sling swivel set ups that go though the stock and into a boss on the barrel, this kinda thing could tighten the stock up to the barrel as you tighten the bipod.
I have rarely seen stupid questions, many more stupid replies!! Keep working on it you'll get it sorted out, like previously mentioned a pic may be helpful too.
