effect of bipod position on steady hold and accuracy

How much difference would it make in ones ability to get a steady hold on the target if the bipod legs were way forward? I like the looks of the XLR industries stocks with the barrel shroud. They also have extremely high quality bipods that attach to the shroud. So with these long barreled rifles why not extend the shroud and move the bipod forward another 15 inches, right behind the brake. I could even see bipod legs that folded further forward. This would give a very long distance between forward and aft points of hold.

Do you think that would help accuracy or possibly hurt by muzzle jump or whatever?
