I am looking to build an Edge and my past experience with the Savage long action has been very good, however I have never personally seen one in such a large caliber. For that matter, would this action work with a .338 Lapua?
Thanks for any information you may be able to lend!
Yes, it's safe. I'm just finishing one if the dang barrel will ever show up.
It's on a small shank.
They can be made as a repeater with some work. New centerfeeds are easier, stagger feeds need to be opened up a bit. Both magazines will have to be modified.
I know there are a couple guys here that have already done it. AJ Peacock built one on a WSM short action large shank, and Earl Fouraker built one on a centerfeed long action.
