Ric , you ever try any of the high BC bullets like the Berger VLD's

What is the OAL of your rounds with the Sierra MK's and how far off the lands are you seating them

JD,

I'm .036 off the lands
the OAL is exactly 3.002
I can't really use the VLD bullets they won't fit into the Mag Box. This rifle is built on a SA.

Honestly I am getting one hole groups at 100 and 2" groups at 550 with this combo.. I kinda don't wanna mess with it...

I am gonna try to shoot a 1K group for S&G's to see what it can do.. I have hit 10" sandstone rocks to 1125 yards with this combo.

This does exactly what I need! I fired 35 rounds yesterday purposefully at varying distances to make sure everything was repeatable.. 300 to 750 back to 550 ..to 750 to 1125.. back and forth.. and I was hitting the targets everytime first shot... so I'm good to go... might have to shot this combo in a comp. or 2... Well, I guess more of a hunting rifle. It is a tactical and weighs about 14.5 Lbs.

It is 11 twist and handles bullets from the 168 gr to 200 gr range.

What part of PA ??

Qkshot,

The taper is a #7 fluted and only 24" BUT.. it is a Mike Rock barrel and they are a tad tighter than most.. I'm getting 26" velocities outta the 24" tube...

If I back the FPS to 2880.. the groups are at their best.. I shot a 4 shot group at 960 yards that measures about 6"...

I'll post a pic if ya wanna see it...
