Difference between Sendero and Sendero II

Can someone explain the difference between the two Sendero models? When did Rem. switch production, what features are different, which are preferable, etc.

I'm looking at one that I'm guessing is a sendero, although it doesn't actually say it anywhere on the gun. Stainless, fluted, ambi. palm swells, two front swivel studs, in .300 RUM. It looks a lot different than the black sendero 7 mag that I have.
