Difference in berger bullets

I have an older box of Berger 168 gn. vld. (.284 )
It is not marked target or hunting.
Looking at berger tech. data sheet all numbers are the same for target & hunting.
Whats the difference. Do you think the box I have would be O.K. for hunting.

Thanks

Re: Difference in berger bullets

Older boxes that are not marked 'thick', 'target' or 'hunting', have the standard thickness jackets, now used for the 'hunting' bullets. Anything made with thicker jackets would have been designated either 'thick' or 'target'. Your bullets are what would now be called 'hunting' bullets and (naturally) are good for hunting.
