Re: CORN MEAL.......AINT JUST FOR BISCUTS!

I have an article copied out of a Varmint Hunter magazine from about 8 or 9 years ago if I could ever dig it out. I form 3006AI cases using the cornmeal method. I started out with 10 grains of Green Dot (what I had on hand, use a fast pistol or shotgun powder) and packed TP like Dan B described. The first ones came out with a cool Weatherby-like rounded shoulder. I bumped up 1 grain at a time until I got a fairly sharp shoulder. I ended up with 16 grains. It definitely is very loud, about like a 223. Check your barrel in between shots to make sure it isn't getting hot. It is a great inexpensive way to form cases.
Good luck!
Sam
