Folks if you 'hunt' varmints off a bench(in 5sht groups), you should be using a Rem700/300RUM..
Thanks for the insight Iron Worker!
My 300RUM was for a Bear hunt I went on. I felt i over gunned the bear I harvested and if I planned another big game hunt my other rifles would be fine. At the time I was obsessed with getting a Cooper walking varmint/predator rifle chambered in 22-250 AI. I knew of a gun shop that had one so i wouldn't have to wait a year to get it. So I traded my 700 and some cash. It had a 14" twist 26" bbl it produced marginal accuracy with a 55 gr bullet, providing I placed the rifle on the sand bags exactly the same every time. Also that target provided was with 50gr bullet and at 47 yards. So looking back I wish I did shoot some coyotes with that 300RUM. Any how its gone, the money I sold it for is gone . Waiting on a 7MM WSM build now.
How does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?
