color for Mcmillan stock?
You can buy McMillan stocks, ready to ship at the LRH Store. Was thinking of ordering an A3 or A5 stock for a future project. Project is a 243 AI based off a long action 700 remington. What I was pondering on was the color for the marble stocks. I was thinking of a dark gray, tan, and light gray. Or a dark gray, black with a small amount of either blue or green. Does any one have pictures of these stocks with the different color ideas. I want something that looks good, just that I would like a camoflage effect that looks different. Thanks oldfamily

oldfamily:
This is a pic of my A5 that was ordered as 50% dark gray, 25% black and 25% white.
As you probably know, McMillan color combos don't always turn out exactly like you think they will. I was expecting a little more black but I actually like it better this way. Add a little more black and substitute your blue or green for the white and you'd have the second combo you are talking about. Change the white to tan and the black to light gray and you'd have the first combo you mentioned. If you want to see some pics of McMillan color combos you can go to 24 hour campfire and search for either mcswirley or swirley and you'll get a bunch to compare.

Re: color for Mcmillan stock?
Has any one done a 34% 33% 33% stock. You got a good looking stock ss7mm does the bolt side have more black than the left side of the stock? This is one thing that I am wondering about, I was not aware of the actual percentage of color choices that you could mix. Thanks for the information. I will call Mcmillan and see if I can pick there brain. oldfamily

Re: color for Mcmillan stock?
Both sides are about the same for the amount of black.

Lerch and I have one on order that is 40% black, 30% white and 30% grey. Should be in Ft. Shaw in the next few months. Maybe we can get Kirby to take a pic of it when it gets there !!

Re: color for Mcmillan stock?
Has any one seen the tan, gray, black on an a5 stock. Was thinking 50%tan, 30% dark gray, and 20% black. Like the looks of the desert camo look. Hope someone has pics of a swirl in this combo.
