Re: Brux Barrels

Any manufacturer can make a good barrel. But also any manufacturer can make a bad one. Most custom barrels are pretty darn good. A few will out shine others even from the same manufacturer. I can honestly say I have only had one bad one. It was not terrible, just not up to the standards I wanted for this particular rifle. But I have a barrel from the same manufacturer that was bought at the same time and it will shoot into a small ragged hole at 200 yards. All that said, my favorites are Broughton and Hart, but I have a Lilja and a Krieger that is darn good too.

If they had what I needed I would have no reservations on buying a Brux.

Jeff

Re: Brux Barrels

Kirby Allen built me 2 rifles in 260 rem both had the same chamber same length just 2 diffrent barrels one Lilja the other Brux.

The brux was about 50 fps faster with the same load than the lilja. It shipped faster and when it got there it was the correct profile. The Lilja was not. The Brux cost less.

Just my experence

Re: Brux Barrels

I've seen a lot of builds lately with a Brux tubes, I'm giving them a try! I sent out a half a dozen e-mails and Brux is the only one that even replied and they did it quick and answered all my questions and helped me head in right direction.

Re: Brux Barrels

I have built a lot of rifles using Brux and every one of them will EASILY shoot sub 1/2 MOA groups with very, very little coppering.

And those guys are so nice to work with.
