I have a 223 A-bolt that I dont ever shoot. What would be a good caliber to turn this into? Any opinions would be great because it just sits in the safe collecting dust.
I had mine rebarreled to 6br by Jim Kobe of Jim's Gun Shop.
One reason I went with him is that he has the TOOLS to re-barrel an A-bolt. Apparently Browning does not make the barrels easy to remove. Jim was the only gunsmith I could find interested in the job.
He really did an excellent job.
