Bolt / Action?

What needs done to use a 30/06 action/bolt to accomodate a 300 WM. A friend has a 30/06 and wants to rebarrel to a 300 WM using his action. Any help is appreciated.

It is a winchester mod 70 push feed action.

You will need the bolt face opened up for WSM, new extractor system, action rails will need to be fitted for the larger case.

Open bolt face and get a Magnum extractor. The feed rails may have to be opened up to accomodate the Mag. case. This is a job for an experienced gunsmith.
