If you really are serious about cleaning your rifle bores try KG.
The KG cleaning supplies were originally recommended to me by Winchester Arms Customer Service shop in St. Louis about 4 years ago. I have used KG1 Carbon Remover,KG2 Bore Polish and Cleaner, & KG12 Copper Remover. If you have a rifle and shoot this stuff will get it clean with less work and hassle than about any thing else on the market. No ammonia and completely safe for you and your barrel.
I use bore Tech Eliminator as well and would rate it # 2 behind KG. I have been down the trail with just about everything else available at your local store. After saving my coin I purchased a Hawkeye Borescope and found out a lot of what I thot I knew about gun cleaning wasn't much. Every rifle I owned I thot was clean and every one still had Copper left in the bores. After getting the borescope, checking bores and then getting them finally and completely clean I found that most of the accuracy that I thot was gone was still in there.
I know just about everybody will go and buy a new rifle, take it home, get a box of bullets and head to the rifle range to get it sighted in and see how it shoots. Most don't clean them before the trip to the range and I will guarantee that every factory new rifle at your favorite gun store has a copper and powder fouled bore from the factory proof test firing that doesn't get cleaned before shipment. If it is not removed before you start your site-in / BBL break-in you will have problems as long as you have the rifle.
