I am interested in the LRAB, so I'm tagging along. Sorry for being a freeloader and contributing nothing.

We shot a mature blacktail buck a week ago .using a 300 Norma using the 210 able it shoots it at 2900 fps. The buck was shot at 485 yard through the shoulders laying in its bed. The bull it was retrieved just on the fur on the other side. We retrieved 100 grains of bullet after the kill. We were very impressed with the emerge dispensed it never twitched . And we also have got our rifles to shoot more accurate than with another bullet.

Looks like he would have concluded that if it "penciled through" at 385 yds. then it certainly would at 520, unless the 520 was first. I mean after a couple of animals I think I would have backed off and reconsidered.
You will not make peace with the Blue Coats, you are free to go.

I was with my buddy when he shot an antelope doe in the hams @ 240 yards. He was using a Tikka 7 RM shooting the 168 ABLR. Bullet did lots of damage and exited. Performance was about equal to the buck I shot @330 yards using a 130gr AB from my .270 win.
