Anyone custom a Browning A-Bolt?

I was just curious if anyone has customed a browning a-bolt or x-bolt even and have pictures. I understand the aftermarket parts are slim but has anyone done it. Mine shoots great and am debating if its worth trying.

Good luck with that. I wanted a gunsmith to do some work to mine. I went to the gunsmith section and asked if anybody could do some work to mine and never got a reply . Makes me think all gunsmiths hate browings!!!!

Makes me think all gunsmiths only work on rifles that need to be fixed like rem 700 ...LOL

Therer are a few on here that have done it. I have seen some with custom barrels. My 325 wsm ss abolt is a good mid range gun to 800 and light at 7-6 0z scoped. I also like detachable mag

I have 3 of them in calibres 22-250, 6.5x284 and 270win. All are 1/4" guns. Yes it is hard to find a gunsmith that will work on them. They do not like the fact that Browning uses fine threads on their actions. There are not a lot of aftermarket parts for them but so what who needs them when you are using a Browning A-Bolt as your foundation? When you dont need to put Jewell trigers in nor true your bolt or Sako extractors you can spend more on optics.

I won one at an event, Browing X Bolt ultra-lite in 243 wssm, I was going to sell it but purchased a box of factory ammo and it shot into .65 first box, no break in. I put it in a B&C stock, skim beaded, EGW picatinny and 1 inch rings, Zeiss scope it shoots into .40 with factory and I just started loading for it. I am very impressed with the rifle and trigger, wouldn't change much. Would love to test in the bigger calibers. What kind of work are you looking to get done?
