The 7-300 is a good round but you're reforming 300 win brass and that's about it unless you want to have a set of form dies made because you are moving the shoulder back so far from the la belted brass. If you can't find 300 win brass you'll have to form brass-- my local shops have been out of 300 win brass since last winter so I would be forming brass since I only have enough 300win brass for my 300win.
Where I really see the 7-300win shining is in standard actions like the ruger77 where the 7stw can't be made to feed from the mag.
