Out of a magnum, if you hit bone on closer shots, they tend to expand rather violently. Out of lesser cartridges, they perform and expand great. They are a longer range bullet though and great for that purpose out to probly 600 yards or so. The velocity has slowed down and you'll get reliable penetraition with great expansion as well. Try them, you wont be dissappointed. What caliber by the way?

If what I'm reading here is correct, the slower, to a point, the velocity the greater the ballistic coefficent.

If that is true, then an article I read in P.O. Ackley's mannual makes more sense. The author did a lot of bullet wounding for the army and found that lower verocity tended to increase penetration. That about what your saying here?

Check this thread RECOVERED SCIROCCOS , there´s a pic of a 160 gk shot out of a 7 rm, hit at 350 m. Animal fell, core separated from the jacket.

I thing they will do alright..<bt I like other bullets better.

Re: 7mm Sierra GameKing bullets

Sierra Gamekings work a lot like Nosler BT. Don't hit bone at close range. Very accurate and perform OK if velocity has bled off. Personally, I'd sell them or shoot them up on paper & rocks. Try the Accubonds 160.
