you mention ball powder,3 groove, and throat dimentions as reasons for extended barrel life. .i understand the less heat of the ball powder that's benificial to barrel life,but does it give you the velocity that the big sticks seem to give? second, is it simply easier to start a bullet into 3 lands rather than 4 or more,therefor less "flamecutting" effect getting the bulet started? and third,is the throat dia more like .0002 over instead of the more normal .0005 or more?
