7 STW factory ammo question

Hey guys,

When the 7 STW first came out, I bought a Sendero and found that Rem. factory
140 Core Lokt gave 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds. and produced about 125 fps higher velocity than the catalog showed. Two different chronos agreed very closely, on several occasions. Yeah, 26 inch fluted factory barrel, but I thought +125 fps a little much for 2 extra inches. I don't remember what bbl. length the catalog showed.......

Anybody else notice this???

when rem first brought out the STW, it was rated by rem at around 3430 fps IIRC, then rem bought out the 7 RUM, they then downgraded the STW to around 3300 fps and the 7 RUM was rated at around 3450 fps, rem couldn't have layne simsons creation outrunning they're new speed demon, other than that I couldn't tell ya, my stw, built a year before rem legitimised the STW has never fired a factory load, 140 gr noslers run 3550 fps with a healthy dose of H-1000, from a 26" Lilja.
