7 RUM or 7 RUMAI

Hello.
I was looking through my midway catalog and saw that they had a ackley improved reamer for 7 ultra. Would it be worth my while to have my barrel reamed to it or not? I believe that shilen would ream it for me being that they are building the barrel in 7 ultra anyway. Would therre be much gain in velocity? just some food for thought.

Thanks
Chris

    No

No, the 7RUM is already huge, you'd need a 30+ inch barrel and very heavy bullets to see any difference. Not what I would do.

the RUM case is already improved. Very little, if any, to be gained with a 40 degree AI shoulder.

the best way to improve a 7rum would be to make it a 338.
