6mm/22-250

What kind of performance should i expect from a 6mm/22-250?

Velocity?
Compared to other popular cartriges?
Is it a good choice for a low recoil f-class rifle?

that would be pretty much the samething as a 6XC, and you could maybe push a 105 grain bullet to about 2800fps. I shoot the 6/250AI, and it will do 3000fps with a 105 grain amax. Might also want to look at the 6x47 Lapua and the 6mm Jaybird. The problem with the 6/250AI is that even after fire forming cases out of .243 brass (less brass displacement) you will still end up with a .23"/.24" neck length, and you really want a minimum of a .30" neck length. The 6BG is similar to the 6mm Jaybird, but has a longer neck length proving to give you a better barrel life and works better with the 100+ grain bullets but with a 30 degree shoulder angle. To me the ideal round would be a 6/250 improved with a 30 degree shoulder and a .32" neck length

I started with the 6x22-250 just necked up 22-250 brass and I used 1/14 twist barrel for the 68gr bullets shooting PD. I would do high 3400fps with it. When I was shooting that I was also shooting 6BR and 6ppc in varmint rifles both had 1/14 twist barrel.

I never have shot F-Class and if it was me I'd get on F-Class site find out what there using. Here something about Tubbs calibers for F-Class 6XC Cartridge Guide

Yeah, don't know where I'm going yet. I just might go back to doing the 6.5 Creedmoor and the heck with the rest.
