6.5x284 question

I have a Rem model 700 LA, that was onece a 7mm Mag. How difficult would it be to make this a 6.5x284?

Re: 6.5x284 question

New barrel and you will either have to get a 700 bolt with a .308 bolt face or will have to have your bolt face bushed down

Re: 6.5x284 question

So if I can find a good 700 LA Bolt with a 308 bolt face, it should work fine with my action?
