Good choice! RWS brass is avaible, and the round itself delivers superb ballistics.

Get a 6.5-06 (AI), it will do all a 6,5x65 does with readily available components. The 6,5x65 is a rare sight, even in Germany.

from what I've read you can get 3200 feet per second brass is easy to get how can you beat that with low pessures
? Is how long of barrel to get 28 or 30

Considering the 6,5 x 65 RWS you don't need more than 25,5'/26' barrel length to get 3200fps velocity. That's bbl under measuring velocity for RWS' data tables.

If a case's capacity and shape are similar, you will end up with similar results.
Judging from Ken Howell's drawings and data in "Designing and Forming Custom Cartridges..." 6.5x65 and 6.5-06 AI are pretty similar.
    3200 fps with 120gr bullets?

the thing that excites me about the 65 versus the .06 al is you do not have to fire form the brass so that is half the shells down the tube I am hearing that the 65 .06 al is only getting a thousand rounds versus the 6.5 65 rws
    which is 2000 plus
