6.5-284 & H1000

Anyone try this combination with 142gr. bullets and if so how did it work out for you?

Re: 6.5-284 & H1000

I tried it with 140 grain Bergers and found it to shoot low deviations and good accuracy but it was a tad too slow. RL22 also gave low sd's and good accuracy with 150 fps more velo so I went with it instead.
Find it
Range it
Click it
Pull it
Dump it

If it's not far, it's boring.

Re: 6.5-284 & H1000

I use it with the 140 Horn. SST, accuracy is acceptable for a hunting round, velocity is in the low to mid 2900s. Like goodgrouper I also use Re-22 but with the 140 SMK accuracy and velocity are both better than the H-1000 load.
Ignorance can be treated with education, sadly there is no cure for stupidity.

RL-22 is fine but you might want to give Ramshot Magnum a try also, my rifle certainly likes Magnum.
