Anyone have any info on this caliber? 6.5-270 wsm

There are several people on this forum who load for it, myself included. Mine has a 26" Lilja 9 twist barrel and it shoots the 140 gr Sierra Gameking at a little over 3200 fps with H1000. I form my brass in a single easy pass through the sizing die using Imperial Sizing Wax for lube. I use the high quality Norma 270 WSM brass.
This is a very nice round, basically the short action version of the 264 WM. Recoil is mild. I took two whitetails cleanly with two shots this fall at 150-175 yds. I am very happy with it.

As Sambo said, resizing is easy with 270 WSM brass and Imperial. I have lightly turned the outside of the necks afterwards. I chose to try 130 grain Accubonds, Sciroccos and VLDs from the 26" 1-9 tube. Better results have been with H1000 and Ramshot Magnum powders. 3250 fps seems to be a sane velocity from my gun with 130s

I know someone who just built one and its impressive. He is using the 6.5-300 WSM Version which is pretty much the same. He is shooting the 139grn Lupa Scenar (BC .615) and 140grn A-Max (BC .550).

His rifle Has a Krieger 30", 1-8.5 twist barrel and he is using 71grns of Retumbo. He informed me he is getting 3500fps with this set up. He is using Norma 300 WSM Brass and Federal 215M Primers. He had the rifle built for varminting out to 1500 yards.
