Chas,
I think they are somewhat rare in short range BR. I know several people who shoot Bartlein 5R barrels for LR BR. I think they are somewhat common in F-Class too. I prefer the Bartlein 5R myself but they have a long wait to get one.

    Sounds like a touched a never. Thanks guys . If I ever get to being that good of shot and rebarrel , I'll consider it. Now what is " F " class competion ?

    "Belly Benchrest"
    Basically it is shot under NRA High Power rules but you are allowed to use a scope and a front rest.
    I'll let someone who has actually shot F-Class go into more detail.

    There have been several National championships in both Varmint for Score and Hunter Class benchrest won in the last few years with our 5R barrels in 30cal.
    They have also set several world records with them also.

    On a slightly different but related note, what experience have people had or heard of with the Pac-Nor Polygonal twist barrels? Same concept I think except that there are no land and grooves just a polygonal twist barrel like a Glock barrel.
