.338 WM ?????

What type of velocity could I expect with a 24" 10 twist barrel using 300gr SMK's in a Remington rifle?

Re: .338 WM ?????

r/r - The loads in my 338 Ultra Sendero run at 2600 fps with Rel25, H1000, IMR-7828 and H870. This rifle has a 26" barrel with 10" twist.

Re: .338 WM ?????

Thanks Guy! I wonder if I'd be able to push them fast enough to be worth the gain in weight. I think Sierra listed a BC at 2300fps I wondered if that was all they would do in a normal .338WM

Re: .338 WM ?????

My hodgdon manual #26 suggests 2481 fps from a 24" bbl and 68 gr of RL-22, and 2475 fps using 67 gr of RL-19. But this data is not associated with any particular 300 gr .338 bullet. MM
