338 win mag to 338 edge
Hi i have rem 700 in 338 win mag and was wondering about going to 338 edge at some time and did not no if i could us this action also. right now im pusshing a 250 grn bullet at 2600 fps with a 23 inch barrel if i whent to say 28 inch hart could i get 2800 fps and still be accurate. I have a lot of brass for the 338 win mag thanks

3" additional inches of barrel lenght will never get you 200 FPS aditional velocity with the 338 Win Mag. The 3 additional inches would yied 15 to 20 FPS per inch IMHO possably 25, but I dought it.

Use H 4831, maximum OAL and 2800fps is not a big deal. How accurate that load can be is anybodys guess.

i can 3 shoot 1/2 to 3/4 inch groups pretty easy. should i try to make it accurate or go with 338 rum or edge when i rebarrel

A friend of mine shoots 1/2" groups with 72gr. H-4831/250/2820/26" barrel. Accuracy/velocity varies from barrel to barrel and one can never tell.
Chamber .338WM first and if it's no good, you can always rechamber for one of the other two.
