Tested some more loads today. I rechecked the 95.5 grains of H1000 at 100 and 1000 yards and then tried some RL22 just for kicks. It worked pretty well considering the snow squalls and winds that were picking up all day.
Here is the best load at 100 yards with 90.0 grains of RL22 and the 250 grain Lapua Scenar. This clocked at 3079 with an sd of 7: (3 shots, .234")
Here is 88.5 grains of RL22. Sd was not so good though at 21. Clocked at 3009 fps.
Here is a 5 shot group on the gong at 1k with 95.5 grains of H1000 and 250 grain scenar. This load had an sd of 7 and only had 4" of vertical dispersion in swirling 5-8 mph wind.
And here is the strangest group I have yet fired to date. This one looks normal but it is actually four shots with Nosler 225 accubonds and 4 different charges of RL22!! First charge was 91 grains and went 3189. Second was 92 grains of RL22 and went 3174. Third was 93 grains and went 3229. ANd the fourth was 94 grains and went 3246 into a nice .351" group! Obviously, this gun likes RL22 quite well with either bullet weight.
