338 RUM 338LM 340 wby

on Noslers site it show the 338 RUM out running the other 2 both in factory ammo and in thier reloading data
Now i hear because the 338LM brass is better you can go outside of the reloading data which is probably true but thats alot of performance to make up in any situation

so is this info from Nosler correct or is it just real conservative for the 338LM Also is the next step up the 338 edge in performance and ease of accquiring componets
thanks

one thing that makes all of the reloading manuals hard to compare not only against each other, but against different cartridges in the same book, is the pressure each is tested at. you'll find some at 52,000 and others bumping the 65,000 mark.i would venture to say that most on here would say the Weatherby would be the slowest, then the RUM, then the Lapua, because of the brass, and yes the Edge probably a tad faster because it holds a bit more powder. each barrel is different, some will be faster than others, but generally speaking, as ranked by potential for speed, the order above is the rule of thumb.
