What twist did you get? I would of tried some first.
How long have you been waiting for the barrel?

I have the 338 barrel, but I am still waiting for the 30 cal barrel, they were both ordered at the same time and paid for. I ordered a 1 in 9 twist but it came from Rock Creek barrels as a 1 in 10 twist and will finnish at 30". The 30 cal. barrel will be a 1in 8 twist and I am planning on the 265 grain wildcat bullet

Kirgy, I am aware of Richards new bullet and can't wait to here how the proto types shoot. This bullet should be AWSOME........

Re: 338 Lapua or 338 Lapua Improved

Well, we decided to do the improved version since we already had a standard 338 lapua as a "walking barrel" and if it works the 338/378 could be eliminated from our barrelling options we consider optimum. You never really know until you test them on the exact same action.
