I tried the berger but so far got the nose slump issue I have been talking to Brian and will try a few things he mentioned if just for research purposes. Theres really nothing wrong with the smk's just exploring my options. I am in northeastern pa and just heard about cutting edge so I figured I would look into it more. any recommendations you can give me?
We have not had the 300 gr long enough to test on Game. Hopefully we'll have some results on Elk next month. Dan has had favorable results with the .308's.
I would not suggest the 300's for the Edge, stick with the 252's. We put a really sharp twist on the .338-.408 for the 300 gr bullet.

Nothing wrong with the 300 SMK and a 10 tw in the Edge, but I understand the want to explore.

Where in NE PA are you? Heading up that way on Sunday to shoot them...

    Down Under Hunter

What weight RM Bullets did you get and what .338 chambering will you be firing these from????

I've looked at RMB's site numerous times and asked around but I have yet to find anyone that has shot any of their bullets.

Keep us informed of your results. I eagerly await your findings....

how did the 300 grain do? how are the 252 grain bullets compared to the 300 smk? my main concern is cost, how hard are they to get to shoot well or develop a load for? thanks again, also anyone want to buy some berger 338 300 grain bullets?

The 300 gr kicked the 300 SMK's ass!

I'll dig out my log book and give you all the data in the next day or so...

We ran them from 650 all the way out to about 1,800.

    Joel,
Been talking to Dan about their bullets. Looking forward to trying some and see how they kill out aways. Do you think the 300's will stabilize in a 10" twist at 3200 plus fps?
