I thought y'all might like a range report on my 338 AX Raptor Stalker. I went out this morning to shoot it a bit. I have not done any load work-ups yet. I'm kinda waiting for some 300 gr. Bergers before I do that. I was shooting the 285 gr. Hornady with 97 grains of Retumbo and a CCI 250 primer. That load averaged 2910 fps out of my chrony with an ES of 50+ and an SD of 19+. So on paper, not a particularly good load in my opinion, however seemingly very mild. Here are a couple of pics:
These shots in the first pic were fired at 200 yds. As you can see APS' 1/2' guarantee is still good here.
The group in the second pic is from 300 yds. I believe that the gun will shoot even better when I find a good load it likes. For just throwing something together for barrel break-in, I think that's doing pretty good.

Man I would say your off to a great start with no load work up. Did you shoot the load Kirby tested the rifle with? I'm so jelous its not even funny I remember when my rifles from Kirby got here I was like oh ya game on.
